Where are you based and how far will you travel?

The Swig Rig Oregon is based in the Portland metro area and serves the surrounding areas of the Columbia River Gorge and throughout the Willamette Valley. During the summer months, we are happy to continue to offer service in The Swig Rig’s birthplace of Central Oregon. If your needs are outside of the Portland metro area, be sure to book us as early as you can so we can plan around your event! Please note additional travel fees may apply.

 
 

Can you service a non-alcoholic event?

Absolutely! We don’t believe that beverages need to have alcohol to make your event memorable. We are happy to provide service for any type of event and provide a non-alcoholic beverage menu ranging from sodas, iced-teas, coffee, specialty mocktails, and more! The trailer also makes for a great dessert bar — donuts, popsicles, pies, or whatever else you can dream up!

 
 

What size of events can you handle?

The Swig Rig can throw a party for 10-300 guests. Throwing an event with more than 300 people? We can partner with other mobile bars to accommodate larger groups.

Can you provide a full bar?

No, we don’t offer a full bar option. Our packages typically include the service of two beers on tap, up to five wines, and 2 to 3 cocktails.

 
 

Does The Swig Rig provide bartenders?

Yes! We have a team of OLCC certified, skilled, fun, and friendly bartenders. The number of bartenders depends on the size of the event but generally, there are always two awesome bartenders slinging drinks.

 
 

How big is the trailer? Can it go indoors?

The trailer measures 16’ L (including the hitch) x 7.5’ W x 8’ T. We love to take the trailer indoors — we just have to make sure she can fit through the door! We try to avoid precarious situations (no “tight fits”, no more than a 5-10% grade and no backing down roads with steep drop-offs). We also require access to a standard outlet — should power not be available, we can rent a generator (additional charges may apply).

 
 

How much does it cost to hire The Swig Rig?

All of our events are quoted individually based on the number of guests, location, service duration, and other factors. In most cases, a $1,500 event minimum applies to all events, and a $2,000 event minimum applies for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from June through September. What types of events does The Swig Rig service?

We service all types of events, from weddings and anniversary parties to pop-ups, brand activations, and corporate happy hours. Our trailer makes a great addition to your brunch, baby shower, graduation party, backyard bbq, or your fundraising event! Give us a call to discuss your event and we’ll put together a custom quote.

Can we rent the trailer?

In some cases, we will rent out the trailer to trusted vendors and venues where their OLCC certified bartenders will provide your beverage service. Do you have another idea? Maybe a prop for a styled shoot, a wedding dessert bar, or a brunch spread for a baby shower. Our trailer is not “branded” providing you the opportunity to use your own branding for your company or event. We’re open to creative ideas and collaborations!
